Oh My God!

Girl's Day(걸스데이) is back with their new song! Last year when they consecutively slayed many men three times over with “Twinkle Twinkle”, “Hug Me Once”, and “Don’t Let Your Eyes Wander”. Those songs can only be known as Three Punches of Aegyo, which firmly established Girl’s Day as the most adorably charming group in Hallyu.

    it’s been a very long time since Girl’s Day have been active. Their last digital single was in September, but it’s actually been 10 months since they actively promoted a song. After their break,  Girl's Day are finally back with a brand new mini album “Everyday II”, and a whole new sound to go with it.


    The girls seem to have ditched their usual producer for their comeback, and it definitely shows. “Oh! My God” sounds like the kind of generic dance-pop Brave Brothers churns out when he’s on autopilot. I'm not saying it’s bad. It’s a lot of fun in a ridiculous way. It’s kind of a long shot from the quality of their previous hits. The music video is really what sells the song, I think, so it seems. It’s cartoon-like and completely over-the-top as well as a sequel to the group’s hit MV for “Twinkle Twinkle”.

    “Oh! My God” is the kind of a song a rookie group would debut with. It is somewhat frustrating when listening to the their new mini album, which contains  “Don’t Let Your Eyes Wander” a perfect song to promote, which they didn't.
